Otonic is breaking new ground in the live looping arena, mixing instrumentals with technology and sharing a unique perspective on the looping craft. Blending the genetics of funk, rock, electronic and world music with the stylings of jazz guitar, drums and bass. Currently working on his new loop album, video productions and live performances, this loop artist has some fun things in store for this year along with starting the ﬁrst Otonic Podcast released on SoundCloud.
2018 was a big year for Otonic’s video productions, debuting his ﬁrst ofﬁcial loop video “Illusions in Time” on YouTube. Since then, has released over a dozen different styles of videos and worked with various artists, dancers, musicians and production crews. A lot of Otonic’s time is spent in the studio but still actively gigs solo, curator of Lexington Experimental and plays bass with his band The Mad Gravity at venues in Lexington, Ky such as The Burl, Cosmic Charlie’s, Al’s Bar, Minglewood, Harvey’s and Rock House Brewing.
“Spectrum of My Life” album released in 2017 under Spliced Loop Productions, Otonic collaborates with Guitarist Walter Corbin of Muisti and Jon Dose of Underlying Themes. Shortly after the release, Otonic is featured on a live radio interview with WRFL 88.1 discussing the production of the album and the creative process. 2011-2016 Otonic’s music took off, playing multiple festivals and regional performances around Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, Indiana and New York including Flow Camp, Lights All Night, Grassroots festivals and many more.
